The Four Forums Network was established in late 2016. It consists of the four Community Safety Forums in Dublin South Central area.
- Canals Community Safety Forum
- Ballyfermot/Chapelizod Community Safety Forum
- South West Inner-City Community Safety Forum
- Dublin 12 Community Safety Forum
The purpose of the Network is to share learning across the Forums on tackling local issues, engaging the public and participating in the Joint Policing Committee. The Network holds occasional shared learning and training events. It also commissioned a significant piece of research from the University of Limerick called Building Community Resilience. The research report, launched in December 2019, forms the basis of a strategy to address the question of how communities most affected by anti-social behaviour and crime can build their resilience, and prevent children and young people from going down a path of criminality.
The research was funded by Dublin City Council, and the report can be accessed here
The Network meets roughly every two months and has two representatives of each Forum attending.
